This session is reserved for the kick-off meeting of the new Forum on Semantic Systems & Services of the Austrian Computer Society (OCG). The two working groups on Semantic Web and Semantic Interoperability will present their ideas and the working plan for the next year. All interested Austrian researchers and industrials are invited to participate in this forum.

Bei der Kick Off Veranstaltung des neuen Semantic Systems & Services Forum werden die Arbeitsgruppen „Semantic Web" und „Semantic Interoperability" ihre Ideen und den Arbeitsplan für das kommende Jahr der Öffentlichkeit vorstellen. Das Forum wird in diesem Rahmen unter der Schirmherrschaft der Oesterreichischen Computer Gesellschaft (OCG) offiziell institutionalisiert. Interessierte Vertreter der österreichischen Forschung und Wirtschaft sind herzlich eingeladen, an diesem Forum teilzunehmen.

In the main conference track invited international keynote speakers from industry and research will present emerging future trends in the area of Semantic Systems and Services. The session includes four keynotes that cover the topics of Enterprice Service Architectures, Semantic Web Services, Semantics in Multimedia Data Retrieval and Ontologies.
A panel discussion with leading experts from industry will discuss the impact and economic potential of these technologies for industry. Are we going towards a semantic turn in industry?

In der Konferenz Session werden internationale Keynote Speakers von der Wirtschaft und Forschung letzte Trends auf dem Gebiet der Semantic Systems präsentieren. Schwerpunkte der Vorträge liegen in "Enterprise Service Architectures", "Semantic Web Services", "Semantics in Multimedia Data Retrieval" und Ontologies.
Den Abschluss bildet eine Podiumsdiskussion mit führenden Experten, wo über das gesellschaftspolitische, technische, und wirtschaftliche Potential dieser Technologien diskutiert wird.
